3D Instruction tool
In collaboration with Riwo Engineering we have developed the RIMOTE Academy 3D instruction module. Riwo supplies automation solutions to customers in various industries. The automation solutions regularly require service technicians to solve problems. For these service mechanics, we have built a learning module called ‘RIMOTE Academy’. This is an application within the existing web portal of Riwo with which the mechanics can go into the field well prepared. In the learning module they learn how to solve problems on the work floor. Attention is also paid to the development of hard and soft skills.
Experienced colleague on your mobile device
By investing in digitalisation, some business processes are optimised. The purpose of the learning module is to train the service mechanics and support them as best as possible during their daily work. With the RIMOTE Academy the mechanic always has an experienced colleague with the right knowledge in his back pocket. When a mechanic comes to the customer with a problem, he can use the RIMOTE Academy on his phone or tablet. In the portal, the mechanic goes to the relevant customer and selects the right model. He then sees a 3D model that he can move through and the information is displayed in the right place.
Efficient training of (new) employees
The RIMOTE Academy offers the possibility to train new employees and makes knowledge transfer easy. The times of long onboarding processes are over. Digitalisation ensures a more efficient onboarding process. The learning process is faster, allowing mechanics to get to work quicker. In addition, mechanics can develop soft and hard skills appropriate to their position in the learning module. The results from these training sessions are analysed and, based on the outcome, it is determined in which areas extra exercises are needed. In this way, Riwo wants to get the most out of the training process.

“With this 3D visualisation tool, service technicians can find the right information around the 3D model even faster.”
