Create AR instructions independently on our platform
Last year, our team worked extremely hard to realize our dream. We dream of allowing customers to create augmented and virtual reality instructions independently. It is a solution that can be applied in the entire Industrial Life Cycle (ILC). From concept and design, to marketing and sales to maintenance and support. The Industrial Life Cycle Platform is of added value in all phases of the ILC.
The video below shows a shot of the platform and the online editor. Instructions are added to the 3D model independently. You can experience how easy this is. Then in the video we show how it can be visualized in practice.
About the Industrial Life Cycle platform
The purpose of the platform is to independently add instructions that can be retrieved through augmented or virtual reality. With the online editor it is possible to add the information to a 3D CAD/CAM model. You can then visualize this with a Hololens. But you can also visualize the 3D model in augmented reality on the physical product. The visualization in VR and AR allows you to walk around the product. Then you select a certain object from a machine, for example, and you are shown the correct information. Through these smart technologies you can significantly improve your business processes from the ILC.

How can the platform be used in the different phases of the ILC?
The Industrial Life Cycle consists of 6 essential steps that an organization goes through during the realization of the product. To give an impression in the possibilities per phase from the ILC, we describe here how you can add instructions to the VR and AR visualizations in the online editor.
Prototyping
Visualize your 3D CAD/CAM model in an online cloud environment to let the customer experience the product and give feedback. This can be done with a simple desktop visualization, but also through a virtual or augmented reality visualization. By placing bullets, all customers can then give feedback on the model and its components. In addition, you can explain certain parts using the online editor..
Procesoptimalisation
For example, explain the assembly operations step by step by placing bullets in a certain order of the model. In this way, your customer can operate the product independently. The right information is displayed in the right place. In the case of the AR Packaging App we describe how the assembly process can be optimized.
Marketing and sales
Take your marketing and sales to a completely new level with the platform. Convince your customers and stakeholders by bringing your product to life with AR and VR visualizations. You can present your products location independent. By way of example, your customers can view the product at home. The goal is not only to convince the customer, but by adding instructions to the AR and VR visualizations you also inform the customer optimally.
Training and education
By independently adding explanations and instructions to certain parts of a product, you can optimally train and educate someone to use your products. It is even possible to give employees step-by-step instructions and training without a trainer. The right information is displayed in the right place, this promotes the training process and your employees will be better prepared on the road.
Maintenance and Support
The platform is suitable to guide your employees and customers optimally in the maintenance and support process of the product. For example, your employees can easily post notes, PDFs or images around the model. In this way, you can view the maintenance history and discover where the problems may take place. In addition, maintenance will be able to be performed more efficiently because the correct information is always accessible.
