In the program “Klaas Kan Alles” , it turned out that Klaas indeed can do anything! But not without our Hololens glasses. With the help of our app Klaas and Kees quickly built a ‘perfect’ wall.
TV Programm Klaas Kan Alles
For the “Klaas kan alles” TV-Show, we have developed a masonry app that is used with the Hololens. In the programme Klaas competes against well-known Dutch people, using technological gadgets. In this episode he went into a duel with Kees Tol, who could brick a wall the quickest.
Masonry app
The Hololens glasses provide the mason with a blueprint of what will be masoned. It is projected onto reality so that it allows Klaas and Kees masonry a wall with a complex structure. The app showed them row by row which bricks to place where and how thick the layer of cement had to be. The app is controlled by voice commands. So the bricklayer indicates the pace himself.
XR technology in the construction sector
We developed the app for a TV show but it shows what is possible with XR technology: improving processes via Virtual, Augmented and Mixed Reality. In the construction industry the use of similar apps could lead to enormous time savings, cost savings and a reduction of errors.
