The app 3Deventer provides a virtual glimpse into the past and future of one of the oldest cities in the Netherlands. With 3Deventer historical buildings come back to life and can be viewed as if time has stood still.

Deventer is one of the oldest cities in the Netherlands, with a rich history. For Museum De Waag we developed the 3Deventer app, which takes visitors to the city into the past and the future.
History and future in high tech
City visitors can virtually see how the city armed itself against Vikings in the 9th century and how the city will be supplied with water and energy in decades to come. Just from the couch at home or during a walk through Deventer, where the information is presented at various hotspots in the app. Existing buildings come to life in different time periods, with audio, video and in 3D.

Stroll through the historic centre of Deventer and discover the city’s rich past. Take a glimpse into the future on the basis of future images by six artists. The app offers two city walks (audio). Have fun!
